Celestial Windows spend time on door security, manufacturing its doors using the High Security ERA Vectis Plus Door Lock. Figures from the Government’s British Crime Survey 2008/09 highlight the likelihood that burglars will enter a property via a door.

The easiest way to force a lock is to Bump, Snap or Pick the Eurocylider in the Door. The BBC’s recent Cracking Crime Night highlighted that it can take just a few seconds to force a door lock. If you are not equipped with the necessary door security it can take just 40 seconds to snap the Euro cylinder.
The Vectis Plus Door Lock has no Euro Cylinder eliminating the Risk of Cylinder Bumping, Snapping and Plug Extraction. The Patented 5 Lever Mortice Lock is operated by a Mortice Key and meets the requirements of PAS 23/24 and BS3621 which most Home Insurance Policies insist on.
ERA and Celestial Windows are extremely confident of their door security and the performance of the High Security Vectis Door Lock. If you happen to be in an unlikely event of a break-in succeeding through the failure of the lock they will pay up to £500 towards any losses incurred.
In the event of Celestial Windows fitting a Door with a Euro Cylinder the Era Vectis 5 Lever lock would still be fitted along with a Kite marked snap, bump, pick and drill resistant Cylinder meeting the same requirement of PAS 23/24, BS3621. Celestial Windows currently offer the extremely High Security CISA Astral s Euro Cylinder as an option for their Door Lock.
